Seeking an organized venue for League of Legends beyond Riot's ranked play system, OPP recently joined the
National ESL's 5v5 ladder. With four of our first five matches against fairly well ranked teams resulting in our opponents completely no-showing, we were already doubting the legitimacy of this league.
Corruption, cheating, and partial admins have long been a part of online gaming leagues, and ESL is apparently no different. We were scheduled against top-ranked team Bear Stance Gaming for a Friday night match. Throughout the week, we attempted to contact various members of BSG, both through the ESL's onsite matchmaking system and LoL ingame friends list, with no success.
