  • OPP and the State of the Hack-Based Alliance:

As we finish up our charcs and get them equipped we’ve been going after the hack based guilds even more. I was just thinking, it’s pretty funny that we’ve been fighting these guys with half completed charcs this whole time. Ebonlore has been getting hammered on the Sartok forums for all their exploiting/hacking, Legion is imploding from internal strife over members hacking, and MIM has ended their alliance with the two hack based guilds. As raid content closes in EBL has attempted to counter the loss of their massive numbers advantage with mergers bringing in other well known hack-based guilds like Ending Fate. They can still field 3-4 groups every night but most of their more talented players have left due to all the skill-less hacking within the guild.

This has prompted EBL GM Mexa to make claims that he cracking down on his members who exploit and we’ve actually seen EBL hacking less the last few days (mainly because the worst hacker was Mexa). Speaking of the last few days, we’ve had numerous major encounters with Ebonlore. Their normal group 20 EBL + 10 Legion + 6 MIM has dropped to 20 EBL + a few Legion giving us manageable 3 to 1 odds.

The straight up fights started earlier this week when Ebonlore grouped their typical three groups to fight our one in the swamps. The initial encounter ended in us evacing after dropping EBLs first group in. The second encounter spread north as we kited their groups from the Moor alter. At this point EBL had lost 8 and OPP had lost 0. As we moved over to Ruin Falls -> Flordiel -> Razad. They split their groups trying to cut us off giving us more opportunities for 6v6 fights and to pick off stragglers. I lost kill count at this point but it wasn’t pretty for them because they had more than triple our numbers in deaths we still hadn’t lost anyone.

After dropping most of them at few times we moved back to Flordiel and hit their regroup head on: 17EBL + 3 Legion = 20 Hack Alliance vs. 6 OPP.

They all died (some more than once) and we took two total losses…

After the battle, we moved out to let them regroup. In true unorganized zerg fashion they regrouped in two different locations giving us the chance to come in and smack around Mexa’s main group at the Flordiel gate 6v6. We're talkin' around a half dozen OPP losses vs. 3-4 dozen EBL/Legion losses at this point.

After this they all exited to Ahgram and regrouped 19 EBL + 4 Legion.

At this point Xanit messaged us asking if we wanted to group up to even the odds. As we grouped our 6 with Xanit’s 6 in Infinium Plats our enemies moved over to Razad.

I have no idea how many Xanit died but the EBL/Legion were wiped and the OPP group only took 1 loss. After this loss our enemies dispersed and logged.
