  • For those of you still living in the Dark Ages..

..and using Internet Explorer, Microsoft has issued a major warning of a severe security flaw in its flagship browser which allows websites to upload malicious software undetected.

"Vulnerability in Internet Explorer Could Allow Remote Code Execution"

An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the local user. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less affected than users who operate with administrative user rights.
Microsoft released a statement assuring that they are working diligently on the problem and expect to have a patch ready by Wednesday, but security experts of all kinds are strongly recommending the switch to another browser (such as Firefox or Opera), at least until this blows over. And if it's Firefox you switch to, hopefully you will come to realize the glorious future of web browsing and break free the bonds of the IE Dark Ages.
