Or is the NA launch hypothetical at this point, and its launch mainly dependent upon the launch success of the EU launch? And only after a successful (subjective) EU release will they then start prepping for a NA release. ^ They have said that people who buy the EU launch will be able to move their...

Sorry, I haven't been following this game as much as I was before, I was wondering if this game is stupid and gay like WoW where you have to have items to compete, or if its more along the lines of UO where a naked person with skill could rape anyone. How long does it take to get to a maxed out cha...

DF NDA Lifted

There’s a lot more depth to this game than any other MMO in history. So I want to start by saying that we did not thoroughly test every aspect of the game. There may be additional things about some of these subjects that we never experienced. We focused on the things OPP members enjoy: fighting agai...

Watch this site for more DF news to come. We'll be launching a new site within the next few weeks with updated policies. One of those will be our recruitment policy for DF. DF will most likely be OPP's next official game. FYI: That means we'll all be playing. The best way to contact me is via ICQ/AI...

WoW was the first game that came out and ran without crashing every 15 mins and was marketed very well.

I think it had a lot less to do with their game than the fact that they marketed one of the most well known brands well and the game worked.

I think that more people will log in to have fun, than anything else.

The current model is flawed...

The first company to actually do some market research and make a game based on fun will make a lot of money.

More Fans

I made a News Post about people pretending to be us in Shadowbane not too long ago. Well, now there's been talk on the WoW Forums about OPP returning to WoW. Guess why? Because there's been numerous groups of fans parading around with OPP tags in WoW. Here's a shocker, we're not playing WOW!!! There...

My Post on the Mortal Online Forum

In response to: The members of the developing team are MMORPG players themselves and know that their fellow players have many good ideas to help the game evolve. Is there anything you'd like to see in Mortal Online? Share your ideas here and the developers might pick it up and make it reality. A lot...

OPP in Shadowbane

The SB servers have been wiped and the game will be relaunched with two servers. We'll be playing SB again on the Malog Server starting Tuesday. We'll have a small group that will be focused on PvP only. Any of our friends that are interested in joining us are welcome to. The game is free and by far...

generalizations are produced by fact, however politically incorrect due to the few exceptions to the rule.

Since I don't care what the exception thinks I generalize.

The De-Evolution of the American Gamer:

I wrote The De-Evolution of the SOE PvPer: awhile ago and I wanted to take it a step further. Since Ultima Online’s death and Shadowbane’s failure American gamers have been pushing MMO Devs to make easy games that look cool. Then take it further, compare popular games of the 80s and 90s to the popul...

The De-Evolution of the SOE PvPer:

As in all games threads pop up on the VG Forums talking about needed PvP fixes. What gets me is that as time has gone by they have become more convoluted and just generally dumb. Many proven X-Ebonlore hackers have even been embraced within the community just weeks after their ban. It was like, peop...
